January 9, 2025 – The Director of Somalia’s Investment Promotion Office (SOMINVEST) at the Ministry of Planning, Investment, and Economic Development (MoPIED), Mohamed Dubo, met today with Mohammed Mulla Yaqoub, Director of Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA), to discuss strengthening institutional and bilateral investment collaboration.
The meeting, held in Kuwait City, focused on exploring opportunities to enhance institutional partnerships and exchanging insights on the evolving global investment landscape. Both sides emphasized their shared commitment to fostering sustainable investment initiatives and aligning efforts to create a favorable environment for investors in both countries.
“This meeting is a significant step toward in deepening the collaboration between Somalia and Kuwait in the field of investment and economic development ,” said Director Dubo, emphasizing the importance of building lasting partnerships to promote mutual economic growth.
The discussions culminated in an understanding to bolster cooperation between KDIPA and SOMINVEST, setting the stage and anchoring future investment and development initiatives.
