The Administration and Finance Department at the Ministry of Planning, Investment and Economic Development is the heart of the Ministry as it is mandated with running the administrative and finances resources. In particular, the department oversees and coordinates the ministry’s budget, accounting, auditing as well as recruitments of new talents, among others.

Main Objectives
- Implement the provisions of regulations concerning finance, human resource and general administration provided to the Ministry.
- Prepare recurrent and capital expenditure estimates for the Ministry of Planning, investment and Economic Development (MOPIED).
- Ensure that MOPIED’s resources are efficiently and rationally managed.
- Maintain financial accounting records for MOPIED.
- Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of office facilities such as furniture, equipment, motor vehicles, etc.
- Effective procurement of goods and services.
- Stores Management including receipt, storage, distribution, issue and disposal of stores.
- Maintain a fixed asset register for MOPIED.
