General Overview

The June 2025 Monthly Newsletter provides a concise update on key events, meetings, and strategic activities led by the Ministry of Planning, Investment and Economic Development. It reflects the Ministry’s ongoing commitment to implementing the National Transformation Plan (NTP 2025–2029) and to strengthening internal and external partnerships that advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Introduction

June 2025 was a month in which the Ministry focused on:

• Participating in high-level regional and international meetings that strengthened cooperation with the Arab world and the East African Community.
• Holding important consultations with global partners such as the World Food Programme (WFP) and the African Development Bank.
• Advancing staff training and capacity building, with priority given to planning, monitoring, evaluation, and strategic foresight.
• Strengthening partnerships with Somali universities to expand research and roll out the National Evaluation Curriculum.
