Joint Resilience Program Monitoring and Evaluation Meeting Held in Mogadishu

MOGADISHU, Somalia – The Director of the Monitoring and Evaluation Department at Somalia’s Ministry of Planning, Investment, and Economic Development, Mohamud Said Nur, held a productive meeting with Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim, Managing Director of SAVANA, an independent firm overseeing the monitoring and evaluation of the Joint Resilience Program (JRP III).

Discussions focused on the program’s key reports, including the upcoming midline and seasonal evaluation surveys, which are set to be published soon. The meeting also addressed preparations for the endline evaluation, which will commence in the coming weeks.

The Joint Resilience Program (JRP), implemented in three phases in the Gedo region of Jubbaland, aims to strengthen community resilience. The program’s final phase is scheduled for completion in early 2025.

JRP has played a significant role in enhancing livelihoods in the Gedo region. Ongoing evaluations are expected to provide valuable data to guide future resilience-building initiatives.
