Biography

Adow Mohamed Adan is the Director of Human Resource Management at the Ministry of Planning, Investment, and Economic Development. Adow has extensive experience in social development, public administration reforms, state-building, stakeholder engagement, and program management within government, international organizations, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Under his leadership, he has successfully implemented human resource strategies that align seamlessly with the ministry’s objectives, driving significant improvements in workforce engagement and productivity.

 

Previously, Mr. Adow worked with various government institutions and international organizations, including the Somali Bureau of Standards, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, as well as United Nations agencies and the World Bank. Mr. Adow has successfully led programs in social risk management, the economic reintegration of ex-combatants, decent work, and civil service reform, demonstrating a significant contribution to managing the challenges of working in conflict-affected regions.

Mr. Adow holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations and a master’s degree in the same field, providing him with a solid academic foundation that complements his extensive professional experience.
