PRESS STATEMENT
Monday 30th October, 2023: The Ministry of Planning, Investment and Economic Development conducted a two-day (29-30 October 2023) Senior Leadership retreat to review the Ministry’s progress towards realizing its mandate and annual work plan.
The two-day retreat was chaired by the Minister of Planning, Investment and Economic Development, H.E Mohamud A. Sheikh Farah (Beenebeene) and the Deputy Minister of Planning, Investment and Economic Development, H.E Mohamed Abdikadir Ali.
Director General Mohamed Shire, all Directors and Advisors, were present in the retreat and provided valuable insights and ideas to advance the overall ministry mandate delivery.
The retreat has mainly focused on key strategic milestones and deliverables, including the Ministry’s five-year Strategic Plan, NDP10 preparations, aid management, institutional capacity development, partnerships, National Monitoring and Evaluation Systems, development stakeholders and post-HIPC economic planning.
The retreat has underlined the need to fast-track the delivery of the Ministry’s mandate and further enhance institutional systems to effectively coordinate the National Development Plan (NDP) for sustainable development.
