This month, we mark a major milestone with the launch and successful conclusion of the National Transformation Plan (NTP: 2025-2029) consultations across states of Somalia. Highlight of the Month: Launch and Successful Conclusion of National Transformation Plan (NTP) Consultations Across Somalia

The National Transformation Plan (NTP: 2025-2029) consultations were both kicked off and successfully concluded across Federal Member States (FMS) of Somalia this month. Led by the Ministry of Planning, Investment, and Economic Development (MoPIED), the consultations took place in Banadir, Hirshabelle, Jubbaland, South West State, and Galmudug. These sessions brought together stakeholders from various sectors to gather input and align state priorities with Somalia’s national development strategy.

Key Highlights:

• Banadir Region: Key stakeholders convened to discuss critical priorities and overcome challenges unique to the region.
• Hirshabelle and Jubbaland: Consultations emphasized identifying sectoral opportunities and developing strategies for regional growth.
• South West State and Galmudug: Focused discussions were held on governance, economic growth, social development, and climate resilience.

The consultations provided a platform for inclusive dialogue and will shape a five-year roadmap that ensures sustainable development and aligns regional goals with Somalia’s overall vision for national growth.
