Unveiling the 5-Year Strategic Plan (2024-2028):
The Ministry of Planning, Investment and Economic Development of the Federal Government of Somalia has unveiled its 5-year Strategic Plan (2024-2028) to seize opportunities and overcome challenges. The Plan empowers every employee to work towards achieving the Ministry’s goals. The Plan aligns with national budgets & secured partners’ support, ensuring a united approach to our national priorities. The multifaceted strategy integrates planning, coordination, investments, & partnerships, all of which will foster sustainable socio-economic development.
High-Level Swedish Delegation Visit:
Minister of Planning, Investment and Economic Development of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Mohamud A. Sheikh Farah (Beenebeene), received a high-level Swedish delegation led by Director-General of Trade Promotion, Dag Juhlin Dannfel, along with Deputy DG and Head of the Africa Department at Sweden’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mikael Lindvall and Ambassador Joachim Waern, Sweden Ambassador to Somalia, in the presence of Director-General of the Ministry of Planning, Mr. Mohamed Shire and departmental directors. Discussions focused on fostering a robust country partnership, strengthening cooperation, aligning development strategies with Notational Development Plan-9 (NDP-9) priorities, and a shared commitment to implementing practical solutions for sustainable, long-term development in light of successful debt relief.
