Ministry Celebrates Achievements at the 2nd Anniversary Gala of the DanQaran Government:
In a dazzling gala event commemorating the second anniversary of the DanQaran Government, the Ministry of Planning, Investment, and Economic Development, led by H.E. Mohamud A. Sheikh Farah (Beenebeene), joined forces with Director General Mohamed Shire and various department directors to showcase significant accomplishments over the past year.
The gala, a highlight on the government’s calendar, was graced by the presence of Somalia’s President, Prime Minister, and the Speaker of Parliament. The event not only celebrated milestones achieved but also set the stage for future initiatives aimed at fostering sustainable development and prosperity in Somalia.
Strategic Planning Workshop Successfully Concludes in Dhuusamareeb:
The Ministry of Planning, Investment, and Economic Development, in partnership with the Ministry of Planning of Galmudug State, successfully wrapped up a three-day “Training of Trainers” workshop in Dhuusamareeb. The workshop, focused on Strategic Planning and Implementation for National Development Plans (NDP)/National Transformation Plans (NTP) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), was inaugurated by H.E. Mohamed Ali Antoobo, Minister of Planning of Galmudug State. Key attendees included Mr. Mohamed Shire, Director General of Planning, Investment, and Economic Development, and Mr. Abdullahi Omar Sakiin, Director General of the Ministry of Planning of Galmudug State.
Designed to enhance staff capabilities in implementing national development agendas, the workshop concluded with a certificate ceremony, celebrating the participants’ preparedness to advance Somalia’s strategic objectives and SDG commitments.
Ministry Holds Key Meeting to Streamline 2025 Government Work Plans:
The Ministry of Planning, Investment, and Economic Development convened an important session aimed at refining the government’s work plans for 2025. The meeting, opened by Director General Mohamed Shire, focused on aligning these plans with the overarching goals of the National Transformation Plan.
Key discussions centered on enhancing cooperation between ministries and seamlessly integrating various projects into the annual work plans.
