On 17th July 2022, DSU MOPIED presided over the launched the Financing Durable Solutions Initiative Project for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). The project with a portfolio of $4 million aims at enhancing the skills and improve the livelihoods of IDPs, provide community infrastructure to support basic services and strengthen the local government’s capacities to address displacement issues in Baidoa and Bossaso The project cleared by the MoPIED will be implemented by United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) and funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
