Launch of “Somalia’s National Solutions Pathways Action Plan: Aiming to Transform the Lives of 1 million
IDPs”
MOGADISHU, SOMALIA – The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre,
today officially launched “National Solutions Pathways Action Plan’’ aiming to transform the lives of one million
displacement-affected communities”.

The action plan, dubbed the ‘National Solutions Pathways Action Plan (2024-2029) was developed through an allinclusive
participatory process government led initiative that included consultations across the country.

The event organized by the Ministry of Planning, Investment and Economic Development brought together high-level
government officials, local authorities, donors, civil society representatives, humanitarian and development actors,
members of the private sector, academia, representatives from Somalia’s Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), as well
displacement-affected communities.
