Policy Planning Section
The Policy Planning Section has broad responsibilities, leading the formulation and continuous reviews of medium and long-term development plans and policies in consultation with government agencies and stakeholders. This section also initiates and lead the strategic processes.
Key Functions
- Prepare, collect, collate and review the government annual work plans, policies, strategies and plans
- Collect and keep track of all existing Acts and Bills across the nation.
- Ensuring the alignment of work plans, Policies, strategies of FGS line ministries.
- Ensure the alignment of the implementing agencies country strategies to the NDP.
- Initiate the formulation of short, medium and long term plans of the Ministry.
- Provide technical advice and guidance towards policies and strategies.
- Support the coordination of the FMSs state strategic plans, annual work plans and policies development.
- Develop capacity building program for both the FGS and FMSs levels to capacitate planning units and also to sensitize the National Development Plan and SDGs.
- Review high priority development issues and make recommendations to the ministry management
- Assist any other task delegated to the unit by the department director.
