







The Monitoring and Evaluation Department of the Ministry of Planning, Investment, and Economic Development organized a series of meetings with various ministries, departments, and agencies to enhance national monitoring and evaluation (M&E) capabilities.
The meetings aimed to improve the capacities of M&E professionals, facilitate information sharing, contribute to the production of the Annual Government Report, upgrade and harmonize the country’s monitoring and evaluation system, disseminate programs, engage in discussions related to the monitoring and evaluation of the country, and establish subcommittees aligning with the pillars of the National Development Plan.
The meetings were led by Mr. Mohamud Said Nur, Director of Monitoring and Evaluation and Chairman of the Technical Committee for National Monitoring and Evaluation. The sessions involved key stakeholders from various departments and agencies, including the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, Transport and Aviation, Independent Border Commission, Immigration and Neutralization Agency, and Somalia National Television (SNTV).
During the meetings, Mr Mohamud Said Nur, Director of Monitoring and Evaluation, expressed the significance of these collaborative efforts, stating that the aim is to ensure a robust system that not only produces accurate reports but also contributes to informed decision-making for the betterment of the nation.
The meetings concluded successfully, with all discussed points slated for implementation. This marks a crucial step in fortifying the national monitoring and evaluation landscape, showcasing the commitment to effective governance and evidence-based policymaking.
