We are glad to share with you the Ministry of Planning, Investment, and Economic Development’s fourth quarterly bulletin, which covers the months of October through December in the year 2022. This newsletter outlines activities and events undertaken across all departments of the Ministry in the strategic areas of stakeholder engagement, capacity building, and efforts towards effective implementation of the National Development Plan.

The Ministry has been instrumental in organizing a number of consultation workshops and events this quarter by bringing together participants from various projects.

The Ministry also took a leading role in the inauguration of the Somalia International Investment Conference. It convened the first ordinary Foreign Investment Board (FIB) in Mogadishu on November 10, 2022, for the first time since the enactment of the Foreign Investment Law 2015. To further deepen our partnership and cooperation, the Ministry has also had a number of fruitful meetings with our local and international partners.

To uphold transparency and promote intergovernmental information and knowledge sharing, this quarterly newsletter aims to provide current information for the general public. Your participation and input will help us fulfil our mission and lead the successful execution of the National Development Plan (NDP-9).
