Economic Policy Coordination Section
The economic policy coordination will support on the effectiveness and coordination required function and to identify gaps on FGs, FMS, and other key stakeholder regarding Somalia’s economic policies and strategies. Therefore, the head of this section serves to support, coherency, and finding the most effective ways to carry out policies and strategies.
Key Functions
- Create a vibrant, robust, and competitive economy through participatory, coherent, and coordinated economic policy and strategies that contribute to the sustainable economic development of the Federal Government of Somalia as a whole (Federal level, State Level, and Local Level)
- Develop Economic Development policies.
- Coordinate existing sectoral economic policies to reach a coherent a unifying national economic development policy
- Establish resilient economic policies and strategies to ensure effective and sustainable production flow of Somalia’s productive sector
- Building confidence in economic management through establishing smart partnerships with Research and Development (R&D) institutions.
- Support FMS ministries of planning to develop state strategic plans by contribute in developing the National Economic Policy in line with NDP9 priorities.
