Economic Pillar (NDP-9) Section
The head of the economic pillar is in charge of producing The National Economic Outlook Reports, and support in create sector-specific strategies/policy recommendations based on the inputs of its sub-units.
Key Functions
- Integration of economic development resources from all sources, including federal, state, and local institutions
- Contribute to fostering deep regional economic integration through exchange of knowledge, expertise as well as mobility of goods.
- Serve to coordinate the contributions of government Institutions and the private sector to enhance economic development, through sound macroeconomic and regulatory frameworks
- Develop a more business-friendly environment by updating administrative and bureaucratic procedures and providing tailored advisory services to encourage micro and small enterprises to become part of the formal economy
- Establish innovative approaches to build a more diversified and resilient economy that generates dependable and productive jobs and widespread benefits to improve people’s daily lives.
- Prepare quarterly and annual economic development outlook reports.
- Coordination and management of Economic Pillar working group.
- Responsible for production sector for NDP9 review and coordination pillar sub working group of production.
