Coordination Section
Coordination section is under National Planning Department; Coordination Section is to coordinate and facilitate over whole Government institutions, FGS and FMS, Development partnership, private sector and civil society. The main responsibilities of coordination section is to improve the levels of coordination and collaboration between all sectors.
Key Functions
- Improve a better coordination both in development and humanitarian aid.
- Strengthen collaboration and coordination within government institutions and other stakeholders (UN family, INGOs, LNGO) and etc.
- Coordinate and verify all levels of projects documents from the Country Strategic Plan (CSP) to the implementation stage according to the geographic areas.
- Organize consultation workshops to develop NGO’s CSPs.
- Make sure the interventions/programs and projects are aligned to the national priorities
- Develop coordination and collaboration system and mechanism between the government institutions both FGS and FMS and other non-government actors.
- Provide a forum and actively support members to promote dialogue, collaboration, learning experiences and information exchange
- Invite, Prepare agenda and accommodation of National Development Council (NDC) of the meetings
- Preparation of minutes and maintaining records of meetings of the NDC.
- Maintaining a public calendar of meetings for the Somalia Partnership Forum, the SDRF Steering Committee, the Pillar Working Groups and SWGs;
- Maintaining up-to-date mailing lists the members of these groups;
- Circulating invitations and documents in preparation for and in follow up to meetings;
- Preparing the minutes for the SDRF Steering Committee and documenting key decisions and recommendations of the Somalia Partnership Forum;
- Facilitating information sharing between members and groups (compiling and circulating documents; maintaining a public website; maintaining semi-public platforms for document sharing such as Dropbox folders for working groups);
- Facilitating engagement of FMS in the aid architecture by coordinating logistics and travel.
- Maintain a public website concerning the coordination arrangements and outcomes.
